I just graduated WGU in September 2024 and had taken several breaks in my degree to have kids and for various other reasons.
I am grateful for the opportunity that WGU gave me to achieve my bachelors degree in Health and Human Services while working full-time.
Today I had a 9 am appointment to do an OA. I logged in at 8:59 am. 3 different proctors came into the chat room and promptly left.
I will start in April.
It's nice to have a school that actually caters to working professionals!
I was even able to graduate earlier than expected.
Someone HIGH up needs to contact me and to do so immediately!
I started with WGU in August '24.
Mentors offer as much or as little support as you need and celebrate every milestone with you.
From day one my mentor, Kate, was contacting me to let me know that she was available to help any time I needed her.
was doing online college .. i had to pay $100 three different times .. each time after paying they said the payment expired but they took the money off my card I couldn’t get it back also.. plus i never actually started taking my classes!
The screen showed that the wait time was approx. 5 mins.
Having gotten my other degrees years earlier at other online colleges I was expecting the same experience.
Success mentors are truly invested in you and are eager to help you succeed.
Thought that WGU was a better fit because it is supposed to be "accelerated", turns out that is a wrong assumption!

WGU was a great experience for a bachelor’s degree I had been working on for 14 years.
I was given a new montor without notice.
She facilitated a discussion with a faculty member for a class I was having a hard time with and that helped me to finish the class in a timely manner.
For years, I avoided starting a graduate program because I didn't have the time to attend a time-bound program.
My program mentor had a huge impact on my success because he would not allow me to compromise my educational journey because of personal and career conflicts in the process.
I’ve enjoyed my time at WGU so well that I’ve actually reapplied to now get my masters degree in Health Management.
At 9:30 (after waiting 30 mins) I rescheduled the exam for later today.
The classes really pushed me to grow and be more open minded about what education is.
For any working mom's, dad's or anyone who just has a busy life and is unsure if they can fit in school - WGU is an amazing institution to consider!

At first, when I applied at WGU, I have to admit I was a little bit scared.
Since she enrolled, I decided to research their graduate programs and was intrigued by the self-paced aspect of the program.
She knew exactly how much to push me to reach my full potential.
I absolutely love this college!
I would say I wished the study material more closely matched the tests, but I was able to complete all of the coursework in a timely manner.
The objective exams were horrible to get into the third party software and then the wait for a proctor was usually more than 5 minutes.
My industry and company (large corporation) values their degrees too.
I was able to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in only 2 years instead of 4!
Once I transferred to WGU and got going, it was a fantastic experience.
My experience at WGU was great.
The instructors and tutors were amazing and encouraged me when I was wanting to quit.
My experience was nothing but positive for the entire 2 years of my masters degree.
We had our weekly meetings to discuss my progress and any obstacles I was facing.
The program has a good reputation within the education community and I am happy to have made the choice to pursue my masters degree through WGU.
