Telegraph was working but went to black screen.
Apparently my subscription had run out but I was never made aware of this.
I'm pretty sure they are breaking the law because they sent me emails to update my payment method but I was never told why, then I was charged £149 and £45 for puzzles!
Just horrible.
It seems purely motivated by whipping up the anger and therefore engagement of subscribers, which means the comments section is one of the worst and most depressing I've seen.
There is article after article put up and you can't see them ~ only the first headlines and a couple of snippets to draw you in...... then nothing ~ just the pay request.
However, after submitting my information, I was disappointed to find I was then directed to sign up for a paid service instead of gaining the promised access.
You can get deals for a few months for a few pounds, but unless you remember to call them and fight for another few months of discount, you'll get stung for £25 a month or worse!
I received a phone call where I was offered a renewal of £59 plus 3 bonus subscriptions. I accepted.
Received a gift subscription at start of December.
Unapologetically Pro-Israel to the end of time, no matter what the news is to report, they find a way to place a Pro-Israel spin on it, mind-boggling.
This has tainted what should be objective commentary.
Don't know why others say they can't cancel subs - yes you can by phone.
However it appears to have become dogmatic and idealogically aligned to a rather extreme right wing view of the world.
This approach felt misleading, as it seemed more like a tactic to collect personal information without delivering on the initial offer.
Been a reader for years and now I honestly feel like it's affecting my mental health.
All worked well for a few days until suddenly stopped working.
As a young British Muslim every time I read its contents it hurts me, I feel I am not wanted I donnot belong, its very painful.
I have read the Telegraph for many, many years. 1 - The standard of journalism has declined significantly, especially in the past 12 months.
Clicking on a square increases the size of the squares so that only a few can be seen.
Was going to cancel subs only due to increased (but not unexpected) subs increase.
It pops up on my feed when I open a new web page, and not once do they have a positive headline.
Today I received an email about my bonus subscriptions so logged into my account with the Telegraph and am horrified to see they have renewed my subscription for £329 - yes you read that correctly.
I am a pensioner and unable to contact them by phone today as their phone lines are closed until tomorrow by which time I could be in overdraft.
The worst part is they are never accurate , truth is always twisted for racist agendas.
I find it very frustrating to use the digital crosswords now.
Or a UK version of Fox news.
Not sure what happened here.
It's poor journalism overall.
Soooooo annoying littered allover Google Chrome.
I used to read telegraph, but it's now about as bad as the Daily Hate (Mail).
Positives: Global Event, Sport, Business and the big issues of the day generally well covered. 1 - There is no problem that cannot be solved by more tax breaks and support for the poor Buy-to-Let Investors and Landlords. 2 - Millennials and Gen Z are lazy and ruining the country.
While never evolving with Technology past 1975 is a touted as a virtue. 3 - Endless Conservative party politics and the willingness to pretend Kemi B is now competent. 4 - Absolutely every single thing the Labour party does or say is wrong. (which is correct 99% of the time, but an honest account of the 1% is important). 5 - "how I'm struggling on £100k" articles / how tuition fees will bring about the apocalypse.
The reporting is really poor quality and incredibly, disingenuously selective of quotes and events, which means I cannot trust it as a source of news.
Offered a free (4 month) trial with no grace cancellation period after the first 2 weeks (who is going to remember that! ).
If you're including The Telegraph on line ~ I can't read it now unless I pay.
I used to like the quality economic and business commentary in the Telegraph and was a long time reader.
These are literally the taking points for that one horrible man that sits at the bar in the pub. Urgh.
They concentrate so much on tabloid-esque shock stories, obsess about Harry and Meghan and dedicate ever increasing amounts of web page space to 'lifestyle' articles.
The Telegraph tells the truth so all the isis flag waving terrorist fiddlers do not bother reading this paper or if you are a liberal tree hugging avocado nut maybe stay at home with your benefits money and vote ed davy by post .
Overall, a very disappointing experience.
