Also, watching the lectures is so painful because they basically read the power points.
I joined a LLM, on the day of the First course the online platform canvas was not working so I could no take part of it.
This place is cheaper than 3rd class, rubbish and rude customer service and no standard of education.
NOT A WEEK GOES BY WITHOUT HAVING SOME KIND OF ISSUE LOGGING ONTO CANVAS OR SENDING OR RECEIVING EMAILS.
Scores of technical issues as well including the current assignment requiring a zip file to be uploaded but the online submission tool not taking zip files - all causing massive amounts of anxiety.
Student complaints: useless. Course: waste of money.
The graduation was excellent and and the staff were super friendly and helpful which made the event an extremely positive experience.
I enrolled on the online Computer Science with Data Science Msc in March this year and have been genuinely impressed so far.
The customer service from the enrolment team is excellent.
Then, they send around ‘wellbeing’ surveys to pretend that they care. Honestly, I kid you not.
Lots of the prescribed reading is not available online, clearly just copy and pasted from other courses, meant for students who can physically access the library.
I pay at least as much as an in person student for a half arsed, poorly resourced, poorly thought out course.

Any journalist wanting to investigate the scandalous decades worth of employment abuse by the University would, if done properly, have a mammoth of a story.
All the modules were structured well, and the mode of teaching was good and I enjoyed that all the way.

I just completed my Master degree with UOS.
I won’t say this Uni is perfect but the teaching is excellent , the standard of the tutors are v high , friendly , knowledgeable and quick to reply .
Paid £11000+ to read off of a PowerPoint all year.
The Dickensian approach to staff has long been imbedded at this institution and it looks like it hasn’t changed.

This place is poisonous to work in Those who rise through the ranks know it, but have kept quiet, comply and as such are part of its problem.
People keep quiet for their own sakes when really they should be clubbing together to have the institutions and its harmful practises exposed and stopped.

I have been studied an online Msc Computer Science & Data Science from University of Sunderland.
I needed 2 small plastic custom push in clips making to complete a project.
I have not gotten any solution in many weeks about the fees paid on it.
Some tutors are unresponsive, some units are poorly resourced.
Your grades will be scored differently by inexperience tutors with short comments on your assignments.
I wish they could run more courses on distance learning mode.
This university cares so little about their staff and students, that they work their staff to the point of complete and total destruction and then simply wash their hands of them.
