In common with many others here, we will be ceasing any involvement with this utterly inept bank.
What should have taken 7 to 14 days took over a month, The local branch pointed us to the business team who pointed us to their processing team who then gave us incorrect information and seemed to be going on a "go slow" or something.
No, they removed old one with no access to account to make payments and now setting up access for new one which takes to complete how long? they don't themselves that...
Was doing a transfer in they emailed me to say contact my current provider as something wrong however turned out rbs did not give my current provider my Nat ins numbernumber which I gave them to open up the account. So far not happy. mistakes being made and phoning them is a bit of a nightmare.
Poor processing time for updating the account.
Now I’m being told I have to go into branch in person to close it down, taking time out of my day and off work because of their stupidly limited opening hours.
Despite having tried to close it several times through the app and being told it was closed, it still hasn’t closed and it’s continued to charge me money.
No money is safe here, no one listens, no response from senior management, no, no and no.......
I have been with RBS all my life I am now in the process of moving all my accounts elsewhere.
A very worrying time for me and fighting cancer which they don't seem to care about.
I have been asked to submit proof of ID and address twice, all cleared both times.
Honestly the worst website known to man. if you finally manage to login then its a lottery if it will continue working , generally crashes once you've entered 20 payments... and no mobile app.. in 2024? if it wasn't for the hassle of leaving and a couple of loans I'd be gone ...

I’m extremely cross as I’ve never had to do this to close a bank account before and i keep having to top up the bank account by a pound or so every month to keep it in credit.
Trying to report a fraud (after debit card being stolen)to this organisation is a joke.

Total disgrace, been waiting 2 days for somebody to phone back regarding a scam I got money taking out from my account.
The accountant submitted the required proof of registered and trading address back in November, and I'm still being chased with request for further information.
I assumed it was a fault with my card and tried another bank's card which let it through, until I spotted a flaw.
We have 5 accounts with them I’ve never ever experienced service this bad the reviews are shocking.

Little support or help recovering the 600 loss as they don't work with that merchant.
A simple task such as ordering a cheque book can take up a whole working day.
Ordered cash, went to pick it up and refused despite having same paperwork used for a previous withdrawal.
No joined up thinking and no evidence of good customer service.
Not bad but now they have taken the stop off my card which will kick in on the 9th March so I guess I can lose a lot between now and the 14h February and 9th March. 3 weeks so at least another 2 or 3 kgs.

Been waiting for RBS to sort out a complaint since 27 th December,I totally fail to understand why this has not yet been resolved.
Had Fraud on mu account this bank was shockingly useless.
I started application November 18, 2024 and as of today (January 17, 2025) the account is still not opened.
They condone bad arrogant and condescending attitudes.
On another high street bank it’s just a click on their app.
I then said "I'm glad you find it funny" his rs collapsed and couldn't apologise enough, I said to bloody late you're getting reported.
They're worse than useless, plus last week I was talking to somebody and when we ended the call he thought I was away and started laughing about how things didn't go right when I couldn't be bothered filling a form in.
You would think so at least but no RBS stopped my credit card despite me telling them I was relying on it for food.
