I have tried for 5 days now to retrieve my money from Raisin where I invested with Monument Bank through them, they say they are updating the app and therefore no transactions are able to be processed so I tried to close my account and nothings happening, they said the app should be up and running by 15th May-yesterday, no change and now I am so worried that they will not be releasing my money and all this updating is just a cover to keep hold of my money??!!

In this age of Fintech 'business' days are not really valid, nevertheless the expected clearance timescale from instruction to withdrawal is two business days.
Great savings rates with wide selection of banks etc.
There are service providers that offer products claiming to do the shopping around for you and handle the admin, but Raisin make it so easy, I can only imagine these competitors have lost all their busines!

Transactions hidden so you haven’t a clue where to find them. Says 2 days to withdraw.
Overall, invest with them if you have little amount of money, if you have large amount then don't bother, you will find difficulty getting your money back, they want to hold onto it....

Certainly more opportunity than I was aware of scanning Finacial pages.
That would be fine if it were not for the fact that Raisin seems to take a relatively long time between an instruction to actually deposit funds in one's connected bank account.
They also reinvest your savings to another saving account that then takes up to 10 days to cancel and retrieve your money.
As others have found, it's a slow process using Raisin, it takes days to put money in or take it out.
They threaten to freeze your account.
Although like me , you will be drawn in by the slightly higher interest rates, you will be better to invest and save elsewhere or direct with the banks.
Can't believe I was so stupid.
Throw in auto-renewals (which you have not requested for) then when you want to cancel the auto-renewal they say that they cannot do it with lots of excuses...
Fast efficient service with a good selection of options to choose from.
I guess Raisin need a margin of their own but if so and you can't win on price and can't deliver a better service/ experience, I'm struggling to understand the point... the app is pretty good but the speed of transfers needs to be addressed for a better experience but maybe this just doesn't work as a business model.
Easy to do transactions, good app, keep you informed of when your account is about to mature.
Good choice of savings accounts but I don’t find the app very user friendly and the process of transferring into the transaction account and out again is a faff and takes FAR FAR too long.
Two days might be acceptable due to the mechanics of an intermediary platform, but a week is excessive and has attritional effect on interest benefits, plus I may have time sensitive requirements that their quasi notice account easy access account may cause me to miss! Edit 20/1/25.
Allows me to get literally the market-leading rate and to benefit from FSCS protection.
However, in my recent withdrawal 14/2/25 it took Raisin 2 days to acknowledge the instruction on 16/2 with the funds now further delayed over the weekend until at least 20/2.
Transferring funds in was easy enough considering bank set transaction limits I have chosen on my current bank account.

This is my first week with Raisin so too early to tell how well it will work for my saving.
In this day and age it should be virtually instantaneous not stagecoach.
Obviously easy enough to give them your money, quite another matter to get it back. Frightening stuff.
I Initially thought they were ok (not dodge), but as you increase your money with them you will notice that they are trying their best to hold your money.
Everything takes 2 days longer as raisin hold your money for as long as possible and intentionally make it difficult to track.
This would save phone calls each time interest is credited from savings etc....... implement that and def 5 star.....
The introduction process of a new client to achieve the mutual £50 bonus doesn’t seem to work.
Since investing with Raisin, I have found the site vey informative and convenient.
Raisin are are a fantastic savings platform offering good rates of interest on many savings products.
I opened my account on 11/11/24, I got interest paid on 30/11/24, but it didn't show that until well into December.
As it’s Friday I guess it means next Tuesday.
I have multiple one-year savings accounts with them.
Yet again a demand for financial information already supplied now four times.
The only point of improvement i would like is when crediting interest into ones transaction account there needs to be a way of knowing which savings investment it came from.
