If Plex.tv is UP for us but you cannot access it, try these solutions:
Absolutely awful. 3 attempts to start movie.
HEck just try and play an episode, and you'll see why any other alternative is a million times better...
They put adverts on right in the middle of a conversation.
There are no subtitles in your own language either.
It's an utterly brilliant ecosystem and is considered the gold standard amongst media enthusiasts.
Plex plays an enormous amount of Ads.
We settled down to watch a free film last night but the experience was very poor.
Can’t believe how difficult the developers make this to use. Crashes constantly.
However, I've encountered issues with the app not working properly on some devices.
We tried to resume but there didn't seem to be any way of getting back to it. Complete rubbish.
The old ones are free , and a subscription may get you newer ones.
Stream ended before the end of film. Don't waste your time .
I've read many reviews here slating Plex but as a media player to stream your stored movies/TV, it's an exceptional app.
On the other hand, installing the media server was easy and convenient, and the community-made tools have further enhanced my Plex experience.
They build features NO ONE wants, while ignoring bugs, like having to go to an actors page twice, because the first time doesn't load the content you have, only plex's free (and garbage) content.
It's like every 5 minutes of tv there's 4 minutes of commercials. Just pure garbage.
Quite possibly the worst piece of shit out there.
Slow and unresponsive... just try removing or readding a movie or TV-show, and you find out real quick why Plex is useless..
I have mine connected to HD HomeRun which then broadcasts UK Freeview TV though Plex to anyone who has access, no matter the room or where I am on the planet.
If you can't find an answer to your problem in the FAQ or support articles or if no one answers your post in the forum then... that's it!
I have been a Plex pass holder for years and had zero, ZERO issues with it.
About every 7 mins you will have to watch a lot of ads.
This rating is purely on the customer support of Plex.
Obviously a Biden voter 🤮!
They can at least wait till the main actors aren't speaking before they interupt the viewers viewing. Redicolous.
Over-saturated colours giving the actors bright orange faces, adverts every ten minutes and then - about 15 minutes from the end - the film just cut out completely to a black screen.
Audio randomly stopped automatically selecting the active audio device.
Looks like this page has attracted all the people that don't know how to follow instructions or manage a media server.
It’s a very unstable and unreliable application.
What’s also frustrating are the ads for movies and series that simply aren’t available.
Spent 3 days trying everything to get it to work with my cloud nothing.
We'll never make the mistake of watching with Plex again.
1 minute 50 seconds of adverts every 9 minutes when watching a movie. Extremely annoying.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make this hot garage not entirely suck?
I had this working well for two days and then it stopped working.
Then, to add insult to injury, a new film started before that one had finished, cutting off the important final words of the movie.
Plex has been a great experience for me as a Plex Pass holder overall.
Their development is embarrassing.
Ad breaks in middle of key conversations.
Adverts every ten minutes spoilt our enjoyment of a great film.
