Until a little over six months ago, the company had a practically irreproachable performance in relation to the users of the site.
That was approximately until June / July 2018.
If you click the link to CANCELAR SUBSCRIPCION it takes you to a page that creates an account.
They give you no way of removing your data or removing your email from their database.
An unbelievable amount of verifications to buy just one product.
The search function is also terrible.
There is no way to argue this, because unlike bigger operators like Amazon there is NO WAY to contact them -´-not by email, not by phone, not completing a form.
However, as of August 2018 it is evident that the commercial policy of the site changed to the detriment of everything.
They drove me mad with endless verifications, slowed down by their obvious technical flaws: it took half an hour for the site to verify my face.
I am female and had had that account for many years with my name, the same one on the photo ID documents I had to upload front and back, matching the photo they finally took of my face and the same one on the card I used to pay.
The support is just incredibly incompetent.
Returns all but relevant search results.
This is not a free market and privacy wise I have very big questions.
I've wasted hours turning in circles with them as they were over 6 instances not able to solver or even understand my problem.
The MercadoLibre Argentina site ceased to be the relatively reliable site it was; in principle, due to irregularities such as unauthorized withdrawals of money on user accounts, the increasingly frequent theft to users who having generated funds with their own sales are now deprived of them; withholdings with little legal arguments and untrue tax base; fraudulent purchases from ghost accounts whose sole purpose is to increase the billing of services of the commercial partners of the site (Correo Argentino, and others) by sending parcels that are then returned to the sender with expensive expenses to cover by sellers; and finally, the strawberry of the dessert: an over saturated customer service that, not only no longer provides useful help to users, but also only very rarely responds.
Today I got a ¨no reply¨ email with the bill for the extended guarantee I cancelled three days ago.
