Decided to try the new revamped Lidl in Wells today.
Parking was easy but we found the 90mins limit for Lidl customers was a bit 'tight' for our needs.
Due to my health, packing my shopping is slower and because of my ocd I like to pack items in relevant bags once purchased but feel their manned checkouts are too fast, I feel vulnerable having to pack my shopping at the shelf or at my car.
He insist they will not change the money, I remind him we are paying £112. 14 for our item and I just need the coins to buy thing from the vending machine.
Couldn't even get through their security checks (using Whats Ap) first they asked for the last 4 digits of my plus card, after sending them this they then wanted the last 6 digits.
Very poor supermarket avoid.
I did this and after surviving the usual 5 options before I could speak to anybody, was told that the waiting time to speak to an advisor was 9 mins.
Sadly the Zoofari extendable dog lead which I purchased late last year is terrible, it jams , the webbing twists, it feels much cheaper than previous models.
Asked for details of item from outside wrapping which was long gone.
Big mistake Roses heads dropped after 2 days.

Lidl asked for photos of the pack showing all codes the steak and a close up of my complete receipt I did all that for them to offer me 71p more than I paid for the steaks in a voucher which I could only redeem at a manned till ( that's a good half hour of my time if they happen to have a manned till open which is rare) for 71p!!!
I don't know if Brexit has released the company of the quality 3 year guarantee and this has allowed a total drop in quality, I am avoiding all Lidl centre aisle products for the foreseeable future. Very sorry Lidl.
That's far from great customer service Lidl.
My wife also uses a mobility scooter that has to be assembled and then disassembled - all time consuming & if you include wait time at the till I was worrying about running out of time.
Do I have to take EVERY rotten item to the Trading Standards?!?!?!?
Do not get fruit and veg from lidl.
Having always had an enjoyable experience at my local Lidl, helpful staff, a very clean shop, this new member of staff is creating a real stressful situation on my shopping trip.
Thanks Lidl for robbing me, YET AGAIN.
I asked him to change £2 coin to £1 each so that I can purchase something for my children from charitypodz vending machine.
Lidl has now implemented a system where you have to scan a receipt to get out, the store is full of security cameras and security guards, yet if I decide to enter the store and not purchase anything I was unable to get out. the lidl app is not available to those who do not have a smart phone or wish to have a card instead.
I am writing this with a heavy heart I ve loved Lidl for nearly twenty years now and trusted their centre aisle products.

Every time I shop at Lidl I have to update the app I even do it before I leave home !
Lidl also stock dental floss (sometimes), Aldi never do!
i am a gay man and have a what some would call ( insecure ones ) an outlandish look. i also have pride flag patches on my bag and one on my leather biker jacket. every time i come into this store the staff have to make up an issue with me. pretending i am not old enough for alcohol when i have ID with my age on and am 32. but still faking an issue with this. faking i have stolen items and alarms have gone off. when i never stole a thing. have recite and no alarm ever went off when i left the store. this is all because of Mablethorpe lidl staff members insecurity and homophobic behaviours towards people like myself. and very likely others who are guy and out their with their style. i will not stop shopping here because of you're insecurities. i actually rather find them cute and hilarious and really couldn't care less on you're thought on me as a person. however felt it necessary to review this as it is at this point now pretty much harassment from you're staff in this store and they seem very obsessed with me. peoples hate and insecurity of me is very pleasing to know i have that much of an effect on peoples feelings.
My wife threw them away and was not happy. Customer service a joke!
I was attended to by a very rude staff called Cladiu at Lidl Purley way in Croydon.
The reason they are cheap is zero staff who when you do find one are usually uninterested.
No problems with the store and I guess if you are doing a small shop then the parking time is adequate.
Also, they always have fresh fruit and veg on offer at incredibly low prices.
Said ur not getting ur £1. 00 back and banned me from the store in front of total stranger's in the queue. embarrassing and humiliating me. im an old man with cancer and long term health with a progressive disease.
I met your new deputy manager from the Philippines today, Errell, and, like the branch manager, I had an excellent experience.
And then there are the bargain boxes of fruit & veg that needs using pretty much right away. A very ethical idea.
I purchased a pack of 2 rump steaks £8. 29 on 14/02/25 for a valentine's dinner. 1 was just edible but the other was a 90% block of fat which had been carefully hidden when packed, I have honestly never seen anything like it. It was so disgusting.
They have candles too, but not like 15 sections in the store selling different types, which was just bloody ridiculous in the last Aldi I visited. -2 further stars! Why, you may ask?
Stock is awful loads of mould and things that is honestly disgusting to see and is accepted by head office to allow to go to store.
Takes so long looking for it I’ve decided to not bother with saving a few pennies and pay full price something different which I didn’t really want ..
He was courteous, patient, and knowledgeable.
