We contacted this so called bank explaining again and again that we closed our account a number of years back, it falls on very Deaf Ears we are now receiving very abusive and threatening phone calls.
The bank is OK, not wonderful because their communication systems are so poor, but Caixa insurance is terrible.
Beware of the rip off bank .
And the customer service is terrible.
I went to branch who couldn't wouldn't help.
The bank employees are unprofessional and have a horrible attitude towards their customers".
I agree with others' comments about "shame on the central bank of Spain for allowing this scam of a bank to continue operating.

My other spanish bank has fixed this issue in minutes over the phone.

We closed our account with Caixabank over two years ago, we handed back our bank cards.
Lied to me about mortgage terms and interest.
i now totally hate this bank. i have spent years trying to use their website/apps/interface and its £$%&ing USELESS. i have never seen such a badly designed interface.
The staff in the offices has no clue on what to do for simple operations such as accounts changes, I have never received the same answer twice for the same request, they are extremely badly trained (or not at all! ).
I inherited my aunts house & a bit of money left in her account but they continue to make up excuses to not give me what is legally & rightfully mine as per all legal documents.
I am determined to pursue justice at every level to hold not only the fraudsters accountable but also the bank for its negligence in allowing such activities.
CaixaBank, why do you allow your reputation to be tarnished by providing fraudsters with the means to operate?
Clearly the ignorant 'managers' decided on features/tools/buttons, with the help of some programming students...
I have an email from the guy who sold me the mortgage stating that the interest rate discount would apply whether funds were transferred in as a salary or if I transferred them in myself from another of my accounts.
This is not the first time this branch changes the rules.
They completely botched up the cancellation of the insurance, took out multiple incorrect deductions from our account and are refusing to close the account.
They have passed on our private information to a third party who now trying to harrass us into paying monies.
Shame on the central bank of spain for allowing this scam of a bank to continue operating.
This time I wanted to cash in some USD because I'm going on vacation at the end of the week and now they tell me it takes 2 weeks before the money appears in my account.
Find another insurance company.
Staff lie and ignore customer instructions to earn commissions.
Last year they suddenly told me they don't cash cheques after years of cashing them, so I spent 2 months chasing down my customers in the US to arrange an alternative..
The only way to resolve any issue with Lacaixa is to physically visit a branch - which is fine unless you're out of the country.
Since 2 years we have - fortunately no need for a bank in Spain.
Boycott this appalling charges .
Just Appalling Customer Service.
Hiding their charges until the end and hounding you to sign a contract .
To this day we still receiving requests for payments to be made for bank fees to be paid.
Of course, it is illegal to take money from a customer account regardless of the investigation.
Responsible personnel at the Barcelona office constantly changed.
Using Caixa is like going to the dentist.
The trouble really started when we needed to close the account and cancel the building insurance with them, because we had sold our house in Salobrena.
Disaster bank after 4 years still don't get my money and no one is answer 25 000 usd in my account they blocket my account and no one is answering me. I don't know what to do.
