I sent an email enquiry to Gandi via my Gmail account expecting a long drawn out back & forth conversation with people a lot cleverer than me, but no!!!
However, things didn’t go well for them on a management point of view, and at a certain point they have been bought by some funds that speculated over their users that can’t/haven’t the competences or time to migrate.
Can't verify domains via DNS or email, seems like they are having some kind of outage.
After their price hike, they deliberately blocked domain transfers by not providing transfer codes with fake justifications, and blocking the domain for transfer.
Gandi took the time to properly understand my question and not just farm it out to an AI bot.
She also showed great persistence in her investigations as the root cause was the email client setup and so not within the remit of a gandi domain call.
I filed a support request many months ago; they finally responded, saying “the problem appears to have resolved itself”.
I sincerely appreciate Émilie for helping and I literally could not have figured out my issue without them.

Now their prices are uncompetitive and their technical support is unresponsive and crap - and yes, people, we judge a service company primarily by the standard of their support.
So this was not a first or new experience at all.
They didn’t even realize that the reason the problem has been resolved is because I gave up on them, and moved my domains to another provider several weeks ago.

I worked with Émilie and they were SO helpful in getting my issue solved.
I just used support again, and as usual, they were quick and got it right the first time.
A real person emailed me back with all the information I needed.
Had an issue with a domain transfer away from GoDaddy, where I forgot to update the owner/registrant information beforehand, and Gandi support was really quick to answer my questions, often taking only 15 minutes.
What I like so much with gandi is their no-nonsense approach - and especially the fact that when you need to talk with the helpdesk you actually get replies from people who know what they are talking about.
Their "customer service" is arrogant and their only concern is to collect the ransom.

What I got was a response within 15 minutes from Thomas who had (somehow) resolved the issue and I was up & running again.
We have been using Gandi for over a decade (probably closer to 2 decades), and their support has always been stellar.
Rates for renewing domains are 4× to 5× those offered by other providers.
I appreciated her reassurance.
As I am an insider in this field myself (since 1988 in fact), that is VERY much appreciated as it saves me having to explain trivial things - nor do I get any dumb questions :) Please continue this way of working! (2) continue to allow clients to connect via e-mail directly - webforms are a pain especially for experts like myself.
