If Freely.co.uk is UP for us but you cannot access it, try these solutions:
Poor show backed by ITV BBC etc al.
Freeview is much better and easier to use.
Freely is the biggest load of crap I have ever had on a TV.
The TV is connected to WiFi and I was told I wouldn't need an aerial connection (though now I'll need to try one).
We bought a new tv and opted for Hisense because of the Freely platform.
This system (freely) is totally unstable and every time we turn on the new TV,we cannot get normal TV ie BBC ,itv etc. when we are able to watch then the freely program stops when it feels like it and the buttons seem to have a life of its own.
Freely takes over the TV channels so no option but to use it.
No problem with the Hisense TV picture and sound quality are very good but Freely is rubbish.
Wish I could give 0 stars as freely is the most horrendous thing ever.
Using a Bush TiVo tv, frequent freezing tv not switching on and switching off itself.
Same as others others experience with a New 55 "Panasonic TV with freely I've actuary given up new set, relegated it to the box room,( as John Lewis refused to take it back! ) and went back to a five year old JVC.
Going back to a Samsung FreeSat TV without Freely.
I've come from using Sky for years so the user experience still has a bit to do to get there, but it's a good start.
When finished, you can connect to internet for the usual apps, and use the non-freely Electronic Programme guide.
We are very impressed with freely it works as expected and no issues at all.
Frequently no picture wh3n using apps. Terrible, worst tv ever!
I bought a Panasonic TV with Freely, as my TV reception is very poor.
Cannot get channels over broadband no way if contacting Freely, chat widget does not exist.
SCAM SCAM .. waste of money ..
Please don’t bother with it you’ll only be sorry.
Setting up the TV was quick and the streaming quality of the live channels is better than i've ever had before.
It's got all your traditional channels there and their on demand stuff.
I use a multitude of other apps and none of them have any issues.
Recording is awful, have to set Recording of a programme before the one you want to record, so then it's either unlabelled or labelled as the programme you set at the time ,i. e ,watching news at 6 but have to change time to 7 for the programme you are actually Recording, when you go to Recording list it's either labelled as news at 6 or ,unlabelled.
Bought a Hisense TV in the Black Friday sales and got the Freely on it.
It searches for the IP address, then tells you it can't find it, so you have to switch the power off and start again. EVERY TIME!!
We bought this Fire TV in November and have tried to figure out how to use it,but would like to know if we can send it back and buy another TV without freely?
All about configuration to the best.
Wish we had never bothered with Freely, so many problems to list - freezes and just so unreliable.
I literally have to do a forced restart of the TV every time I use Freely as it gets stuck on the last viewed channel and won't switch over.
Every day freely TV has gone off.
Phoned up my internet supplier and everything is fine.
Totally rubbish.
Yes the picture and sound aren't as good, however Freeview Play is far far superior to Freely, my list of issues is quiet long ; loosing WiFi connection, switching off immediately after start, not defaulting to program guide when it dose start, unable to go back on programme guide to select a missed show, ( red triangle on Freeview play not an option on freely) unresponsive remote, lag in processing and buffering even though I have very fast Broadband.
I watch a mix of streamers and traditional TV and for the traditional TV I found it a really simple.
Don't install the Freely app, choose to set up by antenna and go through the process of scanning for TV channels.
Been trying all night to get bbc but to no avail not even with live streaming.
If you have a choice, don't opt for Freely - it's shockingly bad and utterly infuriating compared with Freeview on my old TV.
But wish I was back to pushing the big cigarette buttons.
Picture repeatedly freezes, sometimes starts again and sometimes screen goes blank and then switches off.
A user from United Kingdom reported a problem with Freely : app
