I couldn't afford to pay again through a different route, so I tried this.
I am writing this email to request the immediate removal of the book Hydroelectric Power Plants: Basic Guidelines for Protection and Control, which was published without my authorization on your platform!
They are offering to provide you with a books written and published without you having to pay for it (and without the authors and publishers getting any money for it).
It's legit!
dokumen. pub pirates my copyright works and has consistently ignored requests to take them down.
When you send them a email the email is not real and come back to you.
Checked both the site and the downloaded file with VirusTotal. com and both of em came up with no virus. Sketchy yes but works.
Many writers see their work being more illegaly downloaded than sold.
Sketchy site but found no virus on the pdf file on the book or on my computer with antidefender.
As an author I suffer a lot of damage from these piraten.
I get piracy isn't great for authors, but it's a lifesaver when you're a uni student and your university dgaf when it comes to getting the books you need in a timely manner or providing online versions for when you're trying to complete work over the breaks at home.

Yeah, I am sure it collects tons of data about you in order to provide what they do for no cost, but for some, access to valuable knowledge offered in very expensive books that some cannot afford is something I am sort of on the fence about.
It takes several years to write and publish a valuable textbook, and the authors get nothing when pirates like this provide the books for free. (Making you a thief and pirate as well when ""Take" a book for "free").
i use this to yoink pdfs of dnd official books because im not paying wizards of the coast 60 dollars for a book they didnt write. the neg reviews are from sycophants who dont like not paying for things because they dont realise the actual authors get pennies while the millionaire publishers rake in money.
This is honestly not as sketchy as it seems but beware don't allow the website to get ahold of any of your information otherwise you just gotta get scams and spam calls and/or emails.

They probably sell your data, but so does everyone else, and I didn't get any viruses that I know of.
If a book is required for a college course it shouldn't be $100+ dollars.
I needed to get a book for one of my College IT courses and books are expensive for some reason so I tried my luck and bam it was the right book and I saved a good chunk from my wallet taking a hit.
I read a previous review about downloading the converted pdf instead of the original pdf and that was great advice. Whew!
Last thing I wanted was a virus or something.
Think about this: When you "Students" that download these books from DOKUMEN for free go and get a job, I hope your employer inflicts you with "wage theft" (i. e. , refuses to pay you for work you have done). And Beware.
Of course, I know everyone needs to make money somehow, so I truly do feel for the authors in this situation, but I am one of the poor guys that cannot afford every book I'd like to read.

The business practices of textbook publishers is greedy.
Go ahead and take a chance but don't expect everything to be on the site and of course, you will get exactly what you need if it's available on the site.
I am the author and copyright holder and I have never uploaded my book to be made available for free to other people!
The website looks a bit sketchy at first, especially because you have to wait a while for the pdf to download, but I got the exact textbook I needed.
One day when I am rich, I will pay back every author I ever downloaded ten fold.
I can really see how a site like this might hurt authors, but this is one of the few sites I've found that have a very wide range of books, and don't do any harm to the user.
This website violate Copyright of many authors and do not take put of the web the content even if you fill a complain.
