My partially sighted partner signed up for Audible in the uk…. cancelled the direct debit after months and only after checking his bank balance realised that Audible. de were taking £12. 97 for the Premium service (no books provided or requested) and was unable to find where and how to cancel.
Continued to charge me for a subscription I did not even know I had with audible. de after signing up AND cancelling on audible. co. uk.
When stopping the already paid month, the service is not usable from this moment though they charge the full month.
I spoke to an agent last month regarding a payment i didnt know i had to pay. i asked for my account to be deleted and the subscription to be cancelled and my money to be refunded. not only did i not get my money back but they alos didnt cancel my subscribtion. note that i cancelled my subscription every month and they still charged me. i dont know how to get my money back or how to cancel the service. the chat feature doesnt work and i have to pay to make a phone call.
And imagine how many 100s of thousands or more trusting customers experience this.
Spoke to an agent via chat who indicated that she will ensure my account is cancelled and that I do not have to pay the outstanding fees.
Eventually obtained this telephone no from a kind guy at Amazon uk. German ph no. +49 (0049) 94178878900 and they sorted it by refunding.

But Amazon doesn’t care about morality - we know it's always about maximum profit by any means necessary. Sad.
They are then very difficult / impossible to contact.

I’ve received 6 invoices through the post for various euro amounts for things I’ve never ordered or used - not at all impressed!
I had the email with my cancellation and contacted the customer service.
Never, ever again would I book anything on a trial basis with Audible or Amazon.
when trying to contact Audible. de I only get silly pretyped answers about anything but the problem I am questioning. Audible is a scam!!

I am now in a process of requesting all my information from audible. de under the EU law in order to establish what information they have about my actions and account status.
But the money went out of my bank account. Appalling.... Do never use them! A scam...
And then, once you think you have been successful, the next payment is made. Awful. Horrible.

They hijacked my Audible UK account details and they added an extra £12 plus charge each month.
The billing is the only thing that works best.
Never had a good customer experience with any Amazon service so far.
Just downloading and converting the book you bought to mp3 is ten times more complicated than pirating it.
After a myriad of emails, it is virtually impossible to reach them, they never addressed my issue and sent me prefabricated emails about priblems with my account.
The commercial clips are load to the max, it ignores the volum setting and litterly screems out of the speakers.
