But it's probably the best free hosting.
It has once teleported me in the void because I was going down a flight of stairs quickly, and also teleported me into a lava pit.
I can't freaking believe people are seriously complaining about this server hosting, like.. it's free?
There's a massive list of companies they're selling your data to, and to deny all of them you have to spend 10 minutes scrolling and clicking everything they opt in automatically for you.
Aternos your service system is tremendously horrific, you just corrupt servers because you have zero experience in programming, the delete system is a superflous disgust.
Also the queue sometimes you can wait up to an HOUR to start the server(mainly in summer) and on top of that if you don't click the button saying "Continue"(or something like that) the server won't even start, so you have to wait in the queue AGAIN.
AND I BET ATERNOS WILL ACT LIKE IT'S MY FAULT BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANΤ TO ADMIT THEIR FAILURE.
Cannot complain about server speed and stuff, since free plan is working out well.
This host deletes unused servers after 3 months and is so laggy even says "Its free forever" and ftp doesnt exist because "Plugins or mods uploaded to your server run on our hardware.
i also noticed that the render distance is capped for the servers at 5 or 6 chunks im pretty sure, but its free!
It's bad overall, It's filled with glitches and bugs.
Y'all need to calm down about the lagging and ad blocker, be glad that you could even host a server in the first place without PAYING any fees.
For example: I am hosting 1. 21. 3 version server and it has 2,45GB RAM.
Normal websites have an refuse all button and the fact that this website doesn't speaks volume.
The only way you can keep your server is by not being idle for three months so you cant take a break from Minecraft and that suck.
If compared to earlier times, when I used it, Aternos has improved it's startup time and server speed also.
Me and my friend started using aternos on 18. may 2024 and we plan on using it until 4. september.
Why, why is this hosting still getting hundreads of thousands of players every day???
The company allows their users to advertise their aternos Minecraft servers on other users in their Minecraft server/discord.
In the start everything was fine until recently we've been getting tps spikes and lag,despite having a strong computer.
If I am right, then it has 2. 4 or 2. 5GB of RAM, and it's totally free.
That's the reason i'm switching to hosting my own server on my own computer.
These developer/s, are providing something, where we can share joy with our friends, so think about it when you write something similar later on and know 0 about it.
Good until you get "suspended" (banned forever) because they dont want you to use discord bots to start and stop the server remotely. + Many crashes during gameplay that lead to data loss.
I won't forgive aternos about that incident.
Me and my friends have been play Minecraft for a while now so we took a break from our server for a few months and now its gone unhelpful and lazy staff.
Performance is awful and it deleted our 200 day server.
If you don't like it so much, go pay for one, no other options, OTHERWISE just deal with it.

I had a 200 day hardcore server, which it was one of the biggest accomplisments in my life, and i created this masterpiece, only to find out that ATERNOS HAD DELETED MY WORLD BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE IT FOR A MONTH.
They might contain suspicious software code which is then executed in our environment". that means that we would install malware on our device too. 1 out of 5.
