Right after the angry post, I got a reply from Viasol and Sonnen.
They helped me choose the right size and type of solar panel according to my needs.
I ordered my solar panel installation from 1komma5 because it was the best offer I had received out of the 4 companies I had talked to and received offers from (1komma5 was not just the cheapest, but also the best capacity, the best quality made in Germany, with chips on each panel, the best battery, the best inverter, etc. ).
2nd time of buying and very satisfied with the 1st purchase.
We managed to troubleshoot the problem over email easily.
SONNEN AND VIASOL DID NOT GIVE ME ANY SOLID SUPPORT OR ANSWER!
Plus a Huwaei inverter that was mis calulated in capacity having a peak input all summer of 6KW while delivering 4KW. Solar cells delivers 9. 7KW, while the whole system is delivering 7KW ie.
MY NEWLY INSTALLED SONNEN SYSTEM WAS DOWN FOR 7 DAYS.
If seems i paid 25000 for nothing.
Thanks him again for the help and support and because of him our problem was resolved.
They are there if there is a question, they take time to answer seriously, they really go the extra mile to make it a good experience and to have satisfied clients.
The electrical part also went fine, but I am not impressed with the general cable management and tidiness.
I regret ordering panels from Viasol.
The panels, battery etc works fine, the reason I don't give more stars is that it took a long time to get it installed, I had to call a bunch of times to get them to order an electrician, the lady who answers the phone is kinda rude.
I have installed my solar cells in April and it has been 2 months that Viasol has not provided me with a GRN no.
If Viasol really compensates my lost during the downtime, I am willing to give more stars....
The app is user friendly and I can follow my production and consumption in real time. 1komma5 helped me with the administration, including where and how to sell my surplus of electricity.
They do not respond to mails and the last communication I received from them was 3 weeks back saying that the registration application that they had submitted was incomplete and has been rejected. Go somewhere else. 19/5 - I ask Viasol for the additional documentation. 03/6 - I follow up with Viasol and ask for status. 11/6 - I ask for an update again. 16/6 - I publish my review on Trustpilot and Facebook.
I can imagine that Viasol doesn’t like to receive the criticism on public forum and therefore immediately reacts.
The installation of the panels went fine, even though, without asking for my preference, they decided to put all the panels on 1 string (the inverter has 2 MPPTs).
I got a good service from Villads at Viasol even though the proactivity of the communication could be improved a little.
I have purchased a full solarcell system with 15KW SonnenBatterie hybrid 9. 53 15KW batteries Serial No. : 226768 that was marketed as German Quality, system was installed in April 2023, Inverter was defective in May 2023, replaced in September 2023, same symptom again an april 2024, and until today the inverter is not replaced, system is down 2 times in a one year and not functioning 8 months i. e.
I have a bit of shadowing on 1 panel in the late afternoon and having them on 2 strings might have helped optimise the output.
Very very slow company.
Very grateful for the engagement.
Until now nobody wants to contact with me and solve the problem.
