How to Solve Debian Down or Outage Issues:

We have tried pinging Debian.org using our servers in diverse locations and the website returned the above results.

If Debian.org is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or website maintenance is in progress.

If the site is UP for us but you however cannot access it, try one of our following solutions:

1. It might be Browser Related:

To solve Browser related issues that might make the site/server down for you, do a full Browser refresh of this site. You can do this by holding down CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your browser.

This trick works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Safari and whatever default browser comes with your Windows nowadays lol.

2. Clear Your Cookies and Cache.

The contents of all modern sites and apps today are usually cached. This means a copy is stored in your browser as long as you have visited that page before. This is to make it easier to access when next you visit that page. This might be a problem especially if the page was down last time you checked.

You might need to clear that out of your browser memory for the site to load properly.

3. Fix DNS Problems

Domain Name System (DNS) is what allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words ( e.g .com, .us) in order to be remembered easily. This is usually provided by your Internet Service Provider.

To fix this, clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has.

@RealRockaut @TwitchiH @fredbrancz @Porsche_IT @debian Oh and I would advise for plain black. Granted it's not iconic as the beautiful orange but colors are mostly hard to get right and it would look dull if it's off. Also we need quality. Cost a bit more but it's worth for long-term.

@Gerowen2 Working on a #Windows 10 PC reminds me why I love @debian . I'm trying to encrypt the system drive and every time I turn around, the process pauses because something else starts using the disk in the background. 3 disabled services an hour later and maybe we can get started.

@e_barquero @techloreistaken @SignalMessenger @firefox @LineageosRom @debian @ProtonVPN @DuckDuckGo @KeePassXC @ProtonMail @Bitwarden I get it. What do you recommend to do if you had to enter any of your accounts if you do not have access to your PC?

@FsE91147005 @RaptorCompSys @mpc7500v2 @thekurtwk @debian @fedora @VoidLinux have a graphical debian installer is a must, i hope @debian with or withouth @RaptorCompSys could work on it asap, it's not good for average users to buy an expensive machine and spend days to just have a working machine, power need to be more user friendly

@rajendra_tiwari To get more speed if you need use @debian with @xfceofficial desktop. It will be just 200 percent of what you are getting in Ubuntu. It is not so feature rich as GNOME but all the applications will work on it. I am using it since 6 months. https://t.co/K1X2rNUvqo

@wellenwert @debian @Microsoft It´s not easy to remember all these scripting and server-side controls via the commandline. At least I have to recall the HTML5, CSS3, jQuery2, PHP & MySQL scripting languages back into my mind. So I can start coding a fresh new website from scratch...

@techloreistaken @e_barquero @SignalMessenger @firefox @LineageosRom @debian @ProtonVPN @DuckDuckGo @KeePassXC @ProtonMail @Bitwarden One of the best cloud-based password managers. I prefer not to keep my passwords in the cloud though. KeePass uses local databases.

@RaptorCompSys @mpc7500v2 @thekurtwk @debian @fedora @VoidLinux Right, bare metal "works" (but a graphical installer would be nice). Serious problems are hit in a QEMU type environment (hardware virtualization), which makes it hard for SMEs that may not have the overall infrastructure to manually debootstrap new VMs.

@Poddingue I've been trying to build quite a lot of @FFmpeg dependencies and @debian source packages lately on my @orangepixunlong @IloveRockchip #RK3399 based #SBC. Now, just to see if this could ever work, I give a try to #GCC 9.2.0. The machine has not burst into flames... yet. 😉 https://t.co/IwpyLcTMWq

@Poddingue @FFmpeg @debian @orangepixunlong @IloveRockchip Apparently, the @orangepixunlong #RK3399 #SBC finished compiling #GCC 9.2.0 without any problem with half the cores used. My wild guess would be that, as the machine kept crashing when using all the cores, my big chunky heatsink is not enough, I will have to use the fan too. 🤔 https://t.co/YabB7n3Jod
