How to Solve Debian Down or Outage Issues:

We have tried pinging Debian.org using our servers in diverse locations and the website returned the above results.

If Debian.org is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or website maintenance is in progress.

If the site is UP for us but you however cannot access it, try one of our following solutions:

1. It might be Browser Related:

To solve Browser related issues that might make the site/server down for you, do a full Browser refresh of this site. You can do this by holding down CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your browser.

This trick works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Safari and whatever default browser comes with your Windows nowadays lol.

2. Clear Your Cookies and Cache.

The contents of all modern sites and apps today are usually cached. This means a copy is stored in your browser as long as you have visited that page before. This is to make it easier to access when next you visit that page. This might be a problem especially if the page was down last time you checked.

You might need to clear that out of your browser memory for the site to load properly.

3. Fix DNS Problems

Domain Name System (DNS) is what allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words ( e.g .com, .us) in order to be remembered easily. This is usually provided by your Internet Service Provider.

To fix this, clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has.

@thekurtwk I'll be streaming Saturday at 2 PM CDT, working on @debian packaging for CalculiX: Free Software 3-Dimensional Structural Finite Element Program (https://t.co/1Hka8dkWdn) Removed from Testing due to a GCC 10 build failure, but it's also out of date! Updating from 2.11 to 2.17

@TariTheRogue @debian it seems kind of stupid to create a default user and not add that user to the sudo list

@jbbriaud I choose KDE. Despite few reading, I’m not sure to start with @kubuntu or @KdeNeon. I’m feel sorry for @debian, my choice of ❤️, but the hardware will too recent, lack of Ryzen support without recompile. While sharing core, kubuntu look less bloated than @ubuntu brother.

@Pegasus_And_Me @mortemonline @itsfoss2 @ManjaroLinux @MX_Linux @debian FYI - From DW regarding hits per day: They correlate neither to usage nor to quality and should not be used to measure the market share of distributions. They simply show the number of times a distribution page on https://t.co/wfV49vcglS was accessed each day, nothing more.

@ArashRahimian @ManjaroLinux @debian @Windows One platform for all languages is a much better idea than one language for all platforms! The civilizations will not change their languages because of the Reich hobbies but, they love to have one earth under the international laws of the @UN! @msdevUK @linuxfoundation

@sevakmaheshr @Xubuntu @nixcraft @Canonical @ubuntu @omgubuntu @9to5linux personally, i feel that #xubuntu is hands down the best @debian based distro. but i wud really like to see it pivot more towards to the dev community than towards the end user community. simple thing: y do i need libreoffice on my system when i have a browser + @googledrive? etc
