How to Solve Avg.com Down or Outage Issues

After downloading the executable file for the AVG Antivirus app, I tried to setup the app by pressing Install. However, the AVG installer becomes stuck on a small black rectangle with its logo on top. After some time, an error pops up that says "We are sorry but there seems to be a problem connecting to AVG servers! Check your Internet connection and run the installer again." I tried restarting the computer and it didn't work. I tried reconnecting to the Internet and it didn't work.
